Find Out How I Got a Miracle Pup
A Pup is a best friend for life, I always believed in the saying, but I never wanted a pup or any pet in my house.
It was the gospel truth of my life and a reason for a daily tiff between my younger daughter and my husband on one side, and I and my elder daughter on the other.
But do know now I am happily parenting a cute little miracle pup as we all call him for the past one year.
So let me tell you how all this happened with the help of my daughter’s diary.
Last year in winters (before corona), I was cleaning my early teenage daughter’s room and found her diary, where she writes all her aspirations, prayers, and the exciting things that happened during the day.
Let’s peep in to know what she has written on 1.12.2019
Oh, Santa I, want a furry friend. Please send it to me. Do something so that my mom allows us to keep it.
Will you believe what happened in my daughter’s life after a few days. Let’s read her diary to know more.
Dated:12.12.2019
Today a chilly and also the coldest day of the month, December, a puppy which we saw yesterday, her mom left him here today, and our neighbour aunty is finding his mom. My dad told me when I returned from school.
Oh, where? I exclaimed and rushed to the terrace to see a little pup in the arms of my neighbor.
He was crying while our neighbor aunty was trying to pursue him.
I felt tired and sleepy so, I ate lunch and went for a nap. Later I came to know he was sleeping in a box near a shop which we own. Okay, I began my studies and started preparing for the test I had the other day.
As a prank, I told my sister, who just returned from the coaching, that I have a puppy under my bed. Knowing my eager demands of keeping a puppy, she gave me puzzled looks, and finally, I told her what she missed in the story.
She asked me to show him. So we went to see him, he was in a small box fully packed with sheets from the top.
Is he alive? Can he breathe?
These were the first few questions that entered our minds.
I, who was supposed to be the animal lover, tried to remove the sheets from the top and found a ball of fluff sleeping. We kept him near the shop and returned home and got busy with our household chores.
When we heard a loud cry, it was him again. The sound of his cry became louder and louder, but nobody seemed to notice on that busy road.
When I rushed to see, I found a small round pup with brown and white fur trembling with cold and crying with hunger.
His little shiny puppy eyes seem to have tears.
Trying to gather some warmth, I quickly took him in my arms and entered the shop.
He was shivering with cold.
Then, granny, I managed a piece of cloth to give him warmth, hot milk to feed his hunger, and a big cardboard box for him to stay.
When my dad returned from work, he was surprised to find him at our home.
He gave him more sheets and blankets. Looking at his helpless condition, my granddad decided to keep him for a while until the cold day’s end, and if we find his mom, we will return her, her piece of heart.
By the way, Shiro is his name.
We could not find his mom, and now Shiro is an integral part of our family.
My daughter’s best buddy and a naughty and mischievous pooch who lives, plays, eats and sleeps with us.
Yes, I was initially not a dog lover, but being with our little pup Shiro, my daughter became more kind, compassionate, and loving so, now I love him too.
