For instance, the Indian film industry has recently lost a young, talented gem who seemed to be so full of life.

Yes, Sushant Singh Rajput a promising, hardworking, and successful actor. An epitome of intelligence and good looks.

On 14 June 2020, he was found hanging in his apartment.

He was battling with depression from the past so many months as told by the police.

His suicide shook everyone around the world. 

An actor who has contributed to such influencing and positive movies like Chichore and MS Dhoni which inspired people globally, it is tough to understand why he remained so unmotivated in life.

At such a young age, Sushant Singh Rajput had accomplished everything, which most people only dream of achieving in their entire life.

Still, ending life seemed easier to him than living it.

But, unfortunately, this is not the sole instance of depression. 

This pandemic brings forth many such victims of depression.

Therefore, no one knows about the internal suffering of a happy face.

  • Refrain from going out of your house. Go out only if it is very much needed.
  • Wear Mask.
  • Wash hand with Soap regularly.
  • Use alcohol based sanitizer frequently if you are going out.
  • Do not touch your face with your hands.
  • Maintain at least 1 metre distance from others.
  • Regular exercise, yoga, meditation, and proper sleep contributes majorly to a fit body and a happy mood.

  • Share the workload of family members and do some fun activities together.
  • Families and Friends should inculcate the habit of listening to their loved ones. 
  • Sometimes people are not seeking a solution to their problems through discussion they just want people to listen to them and have some empathy towards what they are saying.
  •  It is important to feel, understand, express, and handle positive and negative emotions in a balanced way. As said by Rainer Maria Rilke ‘ The only journey is the journey within’.
  • Change is the part of life and the only thing permanent. One has to readily accept and manage the changes and uncertainties of life.
  • Untreated psychological illness needs medication and therapy. But often one avoids it due to the stigma attached to mental health in India. Seeking a doctor’s help should not be considered a taboo. 
  • We need to learn more about mental health and try to remove barriers to successfully cope up with this illness.
  • Psychological health needs more sunlight and more unashamed conversation. Sharing stories, experiences, trust, and truth can bring down the stigma attached to mental health.
