Best Podcast To Enhance The Imagination Of Kids
What if I told you that there was a simple way in which to enhance your young child’s listening skills? Or boost her imagination? Or impart great values and morals to him? Or even improve and boost their language skills? Sounds too good to be true? But it isn’t! I am bringing to you the Best Podcast To Enhance The Imagination Of Kids and improve their Language Development.
But, What Exactly Is A Podcast ?
All you have to do is tune in to a podcast and help your children discover a whole new world of stories, imagination, learning, and moral messages. Podcasts and the audio medium are the next big thing they are taking the world by storm. Think Siri, think Alexa, and you will know what I am talking about.
But first, let’s explore podcasts a bit more and find out what they exactly are.
Simply put, podcasts are nothing but audio channels where you can listen to specific content. The crudest and most effective comparison would be to imagine a YouTube channel, but without the video. But the big difference is that podcasts are meant to have audio-first content! It means that it will engage with their audience in such a way that boosts their imagination, or tickles their funny bone, or gets them involved in a debate, and so on.
Podcasts have been around for more than a decade, but it’s only in the last two or three years where they have been catching on in popularity.
However, popular opinion proves that podcasts are the most intimate as well as non intrusive way of connecting with your audience!
Can you imagine any other media format that you can consume while doing your workout, or cooking a meal, or putting on your makeup, or driving a car, or even while doing your daily chores?
It is this very reason that makes podcasts unique and so easy to get used to it. Listening to podcasts is also an intensely personal experience. How you listen to and consume a piece of content is personal and unique to you. As a result, audiences develop quite close relationships with their favourite podcasters over time!
Podcast to Enhance The Imagination Of Kids
Now let’s come to podcasting for kids. It is relatively new territory. But if you think about it, we have always had a tradition of listening to stories. Think back to our childhoods – we would spend hours listening to our parents and grandparents tell us stories. All great epics in the world-across all cultures were passed down orally across generations before being penned down.
Listening to the story on a podcast also keeps the mind of the listener active and engaged. The stories unfold uniquely for every child listening to it depending on their unique imagination, rather than them watching a video crafted by some artists sitting in an animation studio. And to add to that, there is the added benefit of reducing screen time for kids, which we all know is harmful in the long run.
Best Podcast for Kids
I am very passionate about the children’s space and have been creating quality content, especially for children in the Nursery to Grade 5 age group. My mission is to entertain children and to give parents access to safe content for kids. I host and produce a successful podcast called Once Upon A Time With Uttara with stories targeted at 3 to 10-year-old children, which are entertaining and thought-provoking. There are several series of stories and many beloved characters like Gublu Boy, Nutty Nut Nut, Draco the Dragon, and so on. There is also the complete Ramayana retold for children in a contemporary context. Most of the stories carry a moral message or impart new knowledge for young listeners.
The podcast is available on various platforms, with a bank of 140+ episodes available already.
